Little Shoppers at Work

The infants recently enjoyed a “trip to the store” through imaginative play, filling their grocery carts with colorful fruits and vegetables. As they pushed their carts around the room, they weren’t just playing—they were practicing balance and coordination while mimicking the world around them.

When babies are included in these types of everyday activities, they develop a profound sense of capability and involvement. Even small, simple tasks, such as putting a bib in a laundry basket, help foster a strong sense of belonging and self-worth.
